UPDATED 4.30.2017. The newest video was obtains using desktop capture software using Sound Card Scope 1.46 capturing audio from an ICOM IC-7300 in AM mode.

Older data is obtained from an IC-7200 into a Tektronix 465 scope. The links for samples of the received audio at my residence. Most have two sets of samples. 5ms/div and 2ms/div. This was done to show a detailed nature of the noise source. You will notice in each sample at 2ms/div the characteristic start of an arc followed by the drop in required voltage to get across the ionized air. After that air has passed it starts the cycle over again. Before sun down it was noticed that there was an occurance of wave shape being dramatically changed. It appears that something was being knocked around but the basic shape would always return breifly after what ever influenced it to change had passed. I suspect it was due to the wind. I am able to receive the noise on the VHF 2M and localize possible sources on 70cm Amature bands using AM receive mode. A Kenwood TS-480 was used to receive the signals. The audio was connected to a Tektronix 465 O-Scope and played on an external speaker. The files average 20 meg or larger so the download may take a few minuets.
